How It Works — Four Steps

STEP ONE

The conversation

Come into the shop at 49 Ashe Street. We start by asking what the suit is for — that answer shapes the cloth weight, the cut, the colour and how formal the finish should be. About twenty minutes, and no obligation to order anything.

STEP TWO

Measurements

Taken properly, in person. Not a size on a label — the set of numbers your suit is cut from. We also watch how you stand and move, because a suit that looks right standing still and pulls when you reach for a pint is not a suit that fits.

STEP THREE

The cloth

Over 5,000 fabrics from mills in Italy, France and Savile Row. We narrow it down fast once we know the occasion and season — an Irish wedding in February and a wedding abroad in July want completely different cloth, and choosing wrong is the most common mistake we see.

STEP FOUR

Making and fitting

Cut and made to your measurements in 4–6 weeks. When it arrives we see you again to check the fit and make final adjustments. You leave with a suit made for you and nobody else.

Tailored Shirts — from €195

A made-to-measure shirt is the cheapest way to understand why fit matters. Over 1,000 shirt fabrics to choose from, cut to your neck, chest and sleeve, with the collar and cuff you actually want — not the compromise the high street gives you. Men who order one rarely go back to buying off the peg.

Custom Overcoats — from €1,195

An overcoat goes over everything else you own, so the shoulder has to be right and the length has to be right. Made to your measurements, in cloth heavy enough for a Kerry winter — this is a twenty-year purchase, and it should look like one.

How long does a made-to-measure suit take?

Four to six weeks from the day we take your measurements. For a wedding, come in about three months before the date.

How much does a made-to-measure suit cost in Ireland?

Ours start at €895. Tailored shirts start at €195 and custom overcoats at €1,195. The cloth you choose is what moves the price above that.

What is the difference between made-to-measure and bespoke?

Made-to-measure adjusts an established pattern to your measurements. Bespoke draws a new pattern from scratch — it costs more and takes longer. For most men made-to-measure is the sensible choice.
